About Lit Mag

The Literary Magazine is St. John's College High School’s artistic venture dedicated to showcasing the creative writing and artwork of our talented student body.

Each year, our student editorial board selects the finest poetry and artwork submitted by their peers for publication in our annual edition. Leading the charge is teacher and editor-in-chief since 2008, Gina Brillante.

The Lit Mag provides a platform for student expression and fosters a vibrant literary community within our school.

Submit Your Work

We're always looking for fresh voices and perspectives. If you're a current St. John's student, we encourage you to submit your poetry, short stories, photography, or artwork for consideration in our next edition. Also, if you’re interested in analyzing and discussing the creative merits of poetry and creative writing, we encourage you to join our editing team.

Submission Guidelines

  • Written work must be original and previously unpublished
  • Poetry: Maximum 3 poems (40 lines each)
  • Word Count: Maximum 2,000 words
  • Artwork: High-resolution digital images (300 DPI minimum)
